Browsing Products
Discover and navigate products in UserVote
Products are the main organizational units in UserVote. Each product represents a separate area where customers can submit ideas, vote, and engage in discussions.
The Home Page
When you visit UserVote, the home page displays:
Product Cards:
- Product name and description
- Product icon/logo
- Number of ideas
- Total votes across ideas
- Latest activity
Statistics:
- Overview of all accessible products
- Your voting activity summary
Product Visibility
Not all products may be visible to you:
| Visibility | Who Can See |
|---|---|
| PUBLIC | All authenticated users |
| RESTRICTED | Only users with explicit access |
| INTERNAL | Employees only |
If you can't see a product you expect to access, contact your administrator.
Navigating to a Product
From Home Page:
- Find the product card
- Click on the product name or card
- You'll see the product's ideas list
From Navigation:
- Click Products in the navigation
- Select the product from the list
Direct URL:
Products have direct URLs like /p/product-slug
Product Page Layout
Each product page shows:
Header:
- Product name and description
- Follow button (to get notifications)
- Your credit balance for this product
Ideas List:
- Sortable and filterable
- Shows idea cards with key info
Sidebar:
- Submit idea button
- Filter options
- Status breakdown
Following Products
Follow a product to get notified about new ideas:
To Follow:
- Open the product page
- Click the Follow button
- You're now following!
What You'll Receive:
- Notification when new ideas are submitted
- Weekly digest of top ideas (optional)
To Unfollow:
- Click the Following button
- Confirm unfollow
