Track ideas and products you care about
The Favorites feature helps you keep track of ideas and products that matter most to you. Bookmark items for quick access and never lose track of important updates.
What Are Favorites?
Favorites vs. Following
UserVote has two ways to track items:

You can use both:
- Favorite for your personal bookmark list
- Follow for active update subscriptions
- They work independently
Use Cases for Favorites:
- Bookmark ideas to review later
- Track ideas you're considering voting on
- Keep a reading list of interesting discussions
- Quick access to frequently visited items
Adding to Favorites
How to Favorite an Idea:
Method 1: From Idea Page
- Open the idea you want to favorite
- Find the heart/star icon
- Click to add to favorites
- Icon fills to show it's favorited
Method 2: From Idea List
- Browse the ideas list
- Hover over an idea card
- Click the favorite icon on the card
Method 3: Quick Action Menu
- Click the "..." menu on an idea
- Select "Add to Favorites"
Visual Indicators:
- Empty heart/star = Not favorited
- Filled heart/star = In your favorites
Viewing Your Favorites
Accessing Your Favorites List:
From Profile:
- Click your profile avatar
- Select "Favorites" or "Saved"
- See all your favorited items
From Navigation:
- Look for "Favorites" in the menu
- Direct access to your list
Favorites Page Features:
- See all favorited ideas
- Sort by date added, votes, or activity
- Filter by product or status
- Remove items from favorites
Organization:
- Favorites are private to you
- Others can't see your favorites
- Unlimited favorites allowed
Managing Favorites
Removing from Favorites:
Option 1: From Favorites List
- Go to your Favorites
- Click the filled heart/star icon
- Item is removed
Option 2: From Idea Page
- Visit the favorited idea
- Click the filled icon
- Toggles off favorite status
Bulk Actions:
Some views support bulk management:
- Select multiple items
- Click "Remove from Favorites"
- Clear all at once
Best Practices:
✓ Periodically review your favorites
✓ Remove completed/closed ideas
✓ Keep list manageable
✓ Use for active interests
Favorites vs. Voting
Different Purposes:

When to Use Each:
Favorite:
- You want to track an idea
- Not ready to commit credits
- Watching to see how it develops
- Personal organization
Vote:
- You actively support the idea
- Want to influence priority
- Ready to allocate credits
- Committed to the feature

- Review your favorites
- Vote on the best ones
- Remove from favorites after voting
Favorites and Notifications
Notification Options:
By default, favorites don't send notifications. But you can enable:
To Get Notifications for Favorites:
- Go to Notification Preferences
- Find "Favorited Ideas" section
- Enable desired notifications
Available Notifications:
- Status changes on favorited ideas
- New comments on favorited ideas
- Team responses on favorites
Recommendation:
- Follow = Active interest (notifications on)
- Favorite = Passive tracking (notifications off)
- Use both for maximum flexibility
